Joseph Angyal is a multi-instrumentalist known for his proficiency with the saxophone, violin, and flute. In August 2023, he joined the Mandoki Soulmates, a supergroup founded by German-Hungarian musician and producer Leslie Mandoki. 

 

Following his induction, Angyal participated in the band’s European tour, performing in various cities, including Dresden. 

 

He contributed to the recording of the Mandoki Soulmates’ album “A Memory of Our Future,” released in 2024. 

 

The album blends progressive rock and jazz influences, showcasing Angyal’s versatility and musicianship.

 

The Mandoki Soulmates are renowned for their collaborative efforts, featuring prominent artists from diverse musical backgrounds. Angyal’s inclusion in the group underscores his talent and adaptability, allowing him to perform alongside esteemed musicians and contribute to the band’s dynamic sound.

 

In August 2024, the Mandoki Soulmates performed at the Brunnenhof of the Munich Residence, sharing the stage with notable artists such as Al Di Meola, Nick Van Eede, John Helliwell, Till Brönner, Tony Carey, and Randy Brecker. 

 

This performance was part of their tour promoting the album “A Memory of Our Future,” further highlighting Angyal’s role in the ensemble.

Musician Joseph Angyal, honorary citizen of the hungarian city of Martfü, worked for 22 years as the musical director of the norwegian national children's theater "Brageteatret" in Norway. Previously, he was a pillar member of several Hungarian pop music and jazz formations. He plays the violin, saxophone, flute, panpipe....He performs concerts with bands of different styles in the fields of jazz, jazzrock, folk music, rock, and classical music.

He writes, arranges, adapts, teaches and conducts music. In 2022, he permanently moved home from Norway to Hungary.

"Joseph Angyal Live&Disc" and "Vitae Lux - The Light of Life" are two forms of performance with which he has recently contributed in Hungary. With professional equipment (sound and light), quality pre-recorded orchestral accompaniment, and a repertoire spanning many musical styles, he travels and performs all over the country. From 2023 august he became a member of Mandoki Soulmates Band and in August-September he is touring with the soulmates (Leslie Mandoki, Randy Brecker, Mike Stern, Al Di Meola, Bill Evans, John Helliwell-Supertramp, Till Brönner) In 2024 the Soulmates will travel to perform in Chile and China.

Angyal Jozsef  zenemüvész , a magyarországi Martfü város díszpolgára,  22 éven keresztül a norvég állami gyermekszinház "Brageteatret" zenei igazgatójaként dolgozott Norvégiában. Korábban számos magyar könnyűzene és jazz formáció oszlopos tagja volt.  Játszik hegedűn,  szakszofonon, fuvolán, pánsípon....Koncertezik különbözÅ‘ stílusú zenekarokkal a jazz, a népzene, a rock, a komolyzene területén. Zenéket ír,  hangszerel,  adaptál,  betanít, vezényel. 2022-ben végleg hazaköltözött Norvégiából  Magyarországra.

"Joseph Angyal Live&Disc"  és  "Vitae Lux - Èletfény"  két fellépési forma amellyel mostanában Magyarországon közreműködik. Professzionális felszereléssel (hang és fény) minÅ‘ségi elÅ‘re feljátszott zenekari kísérettel, és sok zenei stílust átívelÅ‘ repertoárral utazik és fellép szerte az országban.

2023 augusztustól  Mandoki Soulmates  band tagja lett és Augusztus-Szeptemberben turnézott ezzel a formátummal (Leslie Mandoki, Randy Brecker, Mike Stern, Al Di Meola, Bill Evans, John Helliwell-Supertramp, Till Brönner) 2024 augusztus 18-án Budapesten a Szent István Bazilikánál nagyszabású koncertrendezvénnyel lépett fel ez a csapat amely koncert elözménye volt egy kinai és egy chillei turnénak.
